As I build consistency in my life, I’m sharing those areas that challenge me to keep doing what may not be comfortable for me to do for myself and with others. It’s easy on a daily basis to give away our power to people situations and even places that may emotionally connect to us or vice versa. As we grow in life it’s not hard to get caught into over giving the best parts of ourselves to the world at large. But this is not what I FEEL we came here to do. It’s been my experience that giving without balanced receiving leaves someone at a disadvantage and unbalanced. So how do you set clear boundaries when you’re still trying to figure out what your boundaries are? Tough question. And even harder solutions. But all I can share with you is, if you feel the urge to give to someone,something or a situation and doubt and hesitation masked as fear comes up, stop to examine where is this energy is coming from? You or another? Is it self judgement of what others may say about you that is forcing your decision? Are you doing it from a place of unconditional love? Over time, this gets easier. Making the choice. But in the meantime, give the best of you to who and what matters to you. Give thanks that you’re in a position to help another and continue to pray for those you aren’t able to support, that they will receive what they seek. We can get caught up in social pressures and practices that often times prompt mechanical inauthentic efforts at no fault of our own. There are still certain ideals of eating that are hard to break for me and that’s ok. I don’t punish myself anymore with how healthy eating is supposed to look for me. I just stay in a space of creatively cultivating goodness for myself, my family and those that need my support and energy.
