As a Black woman, makeup has never been my friend. There was awkwardness in feeling beautiful with the façade that makeup showed to me. Throughout my life, I only used makeup to hide my imperfections. And it left me feeling more insecure than I already was. So I took a break from outer adornment and did my inner work to feel beautiful no matter what I looked like on the inside or out. Fast forward to 2018 when I walked into a Beauty Retailer and connected with the IT Cosmetics Brand. I learnt that the IT Cosmetics Brand was more than just concealment and embellishment for my natural beauty. They offer products that focus on Repairing and correcting skin care challenges such as Adult Acne and Hyperpigmentation.
There Bye Bye Break Out Concealer for oily/acne prone skin was the first product that I purchased in their line. I kept that .35 oz. bottle for 2 years. I bought the Bye Bye Foundation Powder in 2019. It provides smooth feel and flawless appearance to my skin. Like I’m not wearing makeup at all. These two are my go to products when I feel like enhancing my Natural Beauty. I’ve tried various brands that claim to cater to the beauty and make up needs of Women of Color but IT Cosmetics remains a favorite in helping me to maintain healthy skin with or without makeup.
