The changing of the Seasons bring with it natural wonder, a restful time for Nature and its inhabitants to rest for renewal. During this time, we as a human community are not immune to the changes and the shifts it can cause us internally and outside of ourselves. I am proactive in ensuring that my Health and Well-being during this time doesn’t get too out of my control that I cant handle it. With Natural aides and supplements, like the Essential oils that I use, I am doing what continues to work for me. I am not a Doctor. I am just sharing with you all my experiences from adding these natural elements to the natural medicine toolkit i sue for my self and family.
I know that I am not the first to use Essential Oils in my daily life, but I know that I will not be the last. We as consumers, continue to empower ourselves daily to do our part is healing, transforming and maintaining our lives, holistically. My relationship with Essential oils began over 20 years ago. And the journey has only improved. I have found which oils are most beneficial and which ones I can not tolerate for long periods of time. The Oils included in this post are stapled in my home. I encourage you to check them out for yourself and see which ones would work for you.
I’ve purchased my essential oils from several Brands over the years and still do in some capacity. But the Brands included in this post have been consistent with their offerings for my specific need. doTerra is an established brand that has A LOT of Essential Oils, Supplemental products,the list goes on and on. But these are my recurring Go-To’s from them. I won’t bore you with ALL the technical, scientific data for them, that is available on doTerra’s website by Clicking on each image. But I will share with you, how they support my life.
Eucalyptus Essential Oil is great for supporting the Respiratory health of myself and family. I also use it in cleaning many surfaces in my home. It has a refreshing fragrance that I enjoy that is calming to me. A combination of Peppermint and Rosemary is great for boosting immunity and clearing the air, internally and externally.
Frankincense Essential Oil has a mystical history that many know of. But I am not sure if many are aware of its benefits in skin and Home care. It is great for refreshing the air in a space. It is great for cleansing body odor and very beneficial for troubled skin. Combining this oil with Lemon, Rosemary Lavender, Tea Tree and Patchouli supports my children through there skin challenges.
Lemon Essential Oil is a great addition to my household cleaning routine. Another great air refresher and supports healing of scars and wounds on the skin. Using this oil in combination with Eucalyptus and Rosemary has disinfectant properties in cleaning surfaces,etc…
Lavender Essential Oil is my all time favorite Essential Oil. I use it in my Cleaning and Laundry Routines. I also use it to freshen the air as well. It is great for calming me when I have any emotional challenge and supports restful sleep when i add a few drops on my pillow. Lavender and Patchouli is a great bedtime blend to use.
Patchouli Essential Oil was a fragrance that took some getting used to . But the benefits supersede that drawback for me. I use it as a Body Perfume instead of deodorant sometimes. I use it to cleanse the air in my home and I use it to support a clear mind and keep my mood in balance when necessary.
Peppermint Essential Oil is a refreshing aromatic that is De-congesting to the Air and the Body. I use this in combination with Patchouli in a Diffuser for refreshing the air in my surroundings.
Rosemary Essential Oil is great for topical use on the skin, a great addition to my housecleaning routine and is great in combination with a few of the oils I mentioned above.
Tea Tree was the first Essential Oil that I ever bought. To tell you the truth, I disliked the smell and it took time to get over that. But gain, the benefits out way any drawbacks that I encountered initially. It is a great addition to my household cleansing routine. It is wonderful for troubled skin( specifically my children’s ).
These oils continue to support my self reliance and proactive parenting. I truly know that I am empowering myself and my children to take responsibility for things in their environment and change what they can, with what is available to them.
